A severe hail storm moved through the Goodman, Missouri area on March 23, 2025, with verified hail reaching 1.5 inches. The storm produced a long sequence of NWS alerts from 9:56 PM CDT through 5:26 AM CDT.
Early reports showed quarter-size hail north of South West City on Highway 43 at 10:00 PM CDT, followed by radar-estimated hail at 10:42 PM CDT. By 11:01 PM CDT, spotters were reporting half-dollar hail, and by 11:35 PM CDT, mPING reports documented ping pong ball size hail. The heaviest confirmed reports came later in the evening and after midnight.

The 10:51 PM CDT alert and the 11:08 PM CDT alert both carried 1.5-inch hail estimates with radar and spotter verification. Additional 1.5-inch hail alerts followed at 11:29 PM CDT.
Spotter reports also placed hail southwest of Camdenton near Lake Valley Drive at 12:03 AM CDT and between Versailles and Eldon at 12:25 AM CDT. Separate reports noted hail in Lebanon around 11:07 PM CDT, with accumulated hail several inches deep and a maximum stone size of 1 inch.
The field reports show a hail corridor with repeated stone-size increases over several hours. The first verified hail was smaller, then reports climbed to half-dollar and ping pong ball size as the storm continued across southwest Missouri.
The Lebanon reports stood out for depth, not just stone size. Spotters documented several inches of hail accumulation in town at 11:07 PM CDT, along with pictures and reports of 1-inch hail. That points to a localized surface impact in areas that took repeated bursts of hail.
Reports near South West City, Camdenton, and the Versailles to Eldon corridor show the storm affecting multiple communities over a broad stretch. The sequence suggests more than one hail core or a storm that cycled as it moved east and northeast through the region. The radar-supported 1.25-inch and 1.5-inch alerts line up with the spotter-verified larger stones later in the event.
No specific wind damage or structural loss was documented in the reports provided. The primary confirmed impact was hail size and accumulation. Roof, siding, screen, and vehicle inspections would be most relevant in the zones that saw the larger stones and the repeated late-evening reports.
Crews should treat this as a multi-community hail event, not a single-point strike. The reports span Goodman, South West City, Lebanon, Camdenton, and the Versailles to Eldon corridor.
