A hail-producing thunderstorm tracked through Parker, Colorado on June 3, 2026, producing 1.54-inch stones in late afternoon and generating multiple radar-detected and spotter-verified hail reports.
The storm produced a concentrated hail track across Parker between mid-afternoon and early evening. The National Weather Service issued nine alerts for the storm between 3:20 PM and 5:41 PM MDT. Dual-polarization NEXRAD detected hail cores early in the event, including a 1.31-inch radar detection at 3:20 PM and a 1.5-inch radar detection at 3:23 PM. A separate alert at 3:27 PM was issued on NWS warning information rather than a radar-derived detection. Radar-detected returns continued through the late afternoon with repeated 1.0–1.16-inch signatures recorded into the early evening.
Field observers logged hail near the start of the radar signal. An mPING submission at 3:16 PM MDT (21:16 UTC) described "Quarter" with a logged size of 1.00 inch. A spotter identified as d333 recorded 1.00-inch hail at 3:22 PM MDT (21:22 UTC). Those spotter-verified reports align with the early radar cores and the sequence of NWS alerts across Parker.
Local storm reports for this event consisted of the two spotter-verified hail observations noted above. The submitted observations document surface hail at two locations in Parker during the early phase of the storm. No Local Storm Reports included structural failure or large-loss damage tied to these specific entries.
On-scene reports and the radar pattern indicate the highest-impact corridor was narrow and shifted across Parker in late afternoon. Damage consistent with the observed hail sizes would be limited and localized.
