Zephyr, TX experienced a concluded hailstorm on June 6, 2026, producing a peak hailstone of 2.27 inches and a multi-zone radar-derived hail track. The event generated two NWS warning areas in the early evening with multiple radar hail detections.
The storm developed into a hail-producing cell in the late afternoon and tracked across the Zephyr metro area in the early evening. NWS issued two warning areas tied to dual-polarization radar hail detection: the first at 5:23 PM CDT noting stones near 1.8 inches and the second at 6:48 PM CDT noting stones near 1.18 inches. Radar data show stronger returns along a concentrated swath through town during the 5:00–7:00 PM window. The event is concluded.
