Fremont, Nebraska experienced multi-zone hail from June 30 through July 2, 2026, with a radar-detected peak of 1.76 inches. The event produced repeated NWS warnings and multiple radar detections across the metro.
The hail event began with an NWS warning on June 30 at 10:49 PM CDT reporting 0.75-inch hail. Subsequent NWS warnings and radar detections tracked repeated hail returns across the Fremont metro from June 30 into early July. Key alerts in the sequence:
Radar returns at 3:50 AM CDT and again at 4:38–4:39 AM CDT show the strongest dual-polarization signatures. NWS warning-only alerts bracketed the radar detections before and after the early-morning peaks. The storm is concluded.
Radar-detected swaths included repeated exposures to hail sizes capable of producing vehicle panel denting and impact damage to asphalt roof coverings where the largest radar echoes passed. Early-morning radar peaks correspond to narrow zones with the highest detected stone sizes.
Wider portions of the warning area received smaller but still damaging stones. NWS warning-only alerts and radar detections show frequent 0.75-inch to 1.33-inch hail across multiple passes. Properties under those swaths were exposed to hail sizes commonly associated with cosmetic siding damage, dented metal fixtures, and broken skylights where vulnerabilities existed.

Cosmetic dents on metal fixtures and vehicles can be documented and quoted separately from roofing repairs that may affect water intrusion risk. Coordinate inspections with property owners and insurers; provide clear before-and-after photo sets and a concise list of observed damage tied to specific address locations within the NWS warning area.
