NWS issued 18 alerts for the Mercer metro between 6:59 PM EDT and 12:06 AM EDT. Most alerts were NWS warning only products. Dual-polarization radar detected a notable hail core measured at 1.15 inches at 8:37 PM EDT. Additional warning-area reports included radar or warning indications of 0.75- and 0.88-inch hail echoes at roughly 9:23–9:24 PM EDT and several 0.75-inch echo signatures later in the period. The storm concluded after the 12:06 AM EDT alert on July 4.
