A hail-producing storm is tracking through Paradise, Michigan on July 27, 2026, producing hail up to 1.99 inches in diameter and prompting multiple NWS alerts. Conditions are active and may still be developing.
The storm began producing hail after midnight and is continuing to move through the Paradise area. Three NWS alerts have been issued for the event:
Radar returns show a persistent hail core tracking east-northeast through Paradise. The event is a multi-zone aggregate report, and storm cells are continuing to produce hail as they pass over populated sections of the town. Field reports are limited at this time, and activity remains in progress.
Hail up to 1.99 inches falling in residential and commercial areas of Paradise poses a direct risk to vehicles, roofing, and exterior building materials along the current storm path. Vehicles parked outdoors in neighborhoods east of the town center should be considered at elevated risk for panel dents and broken glass. Asphalt shingle roofs exposed to 1.5-inch to 2.0-inch hail may sustain shingle bruising, granular loss, and accelerated wear in impact zones. Skylights, solar panels, soft-metal trim, and vinyl siding in the immediate track of the cells are vulnerable to impact damage.
