NWS issued three separate alerts for the storm while it was moving through Kermit. The first warning was issued at 7:25 AM EDT, the second at 7:30 AM EDT, and a later warning was issued at 10:51 AM EDT. Each alert listed 0.75-inch hail and was flagged as NWS warning only.
