Bunker, MO — August 7, 2026. A severe thunderstorm is tracking through the area in the early evening, producing hail up to 1.84 inches and continuing to develop.
The storm moved into the Bunker area in the late afternoon and intensified into early evening. The National Weather Service issued two hail warnings for the event: a 1.00-inch hail warning at 6:40 PM CDT (23:40 UTC) and a 1.25-inch hail warning at 7:03 PM CDT (00:03 UTC). Both alerts are noted as NWS warning only. Observations are still being collected and the storm is active and continuing to produce hail as it tracks through local warning areas.
Radar returns currently show strong reflectivity cores along the storm path. No spotter-verified damage reports have been published to the NWS at this time. Local conditions may change rapidly while the storm remains active; crews in the field should expect ongoing hail production within the advisory polygons issued by the NWS.
