Adrian, TX — August 7, 2026: A storm tracking through Adrian is producing hail up to 2.3 inches in diameter and remains active as of late evening. Multiple NEXRAD dual-polarization radar alerts and an NWS warning are reporting sustained hail detections across the metro.
Eight NWS alerts were issued for this multi-zone storm between 7:12 PM CDT and 9:28 PM CDT on August 7, 2026. Dual-polarization radar detections reported hail at 7:12 PM (1.39 inches), 7:17 PM (1.36 inches), 7:29 PM (1.15 inches), 7:45 PM (1.62 inches), 8:13 PM (1.85 inches), 8:25 PM (1.60 inches), and 8:56 PM (1.57 inches). A final NWS warning-only alert at 9:28 PM indicated 1.00-inch hail without a corresponding radar hail signature. Aggregated data for the event includes a larger 2.3-inch observation in the affected area. The storm is continuing to produce hail and is being tracked in real time by radar-derived hail detections and NWS warning polygons.
Radar-detected hail across multiple alerts generally fell in the 1.0–1.85 inch range across broad sectors of Adrian. Hail of this size is sufficient to produce automotive dents, impact vulnerable skylights, and bruise soft landscaping where concentrations are highest. The aggregated 2.3-inch observation represents localized larger stones that increase the likelihood of shingle impact fractures, broken glazing in exposed installations, and concentrated metal panel deformation where those stones fell.
Damage patterns are likely to be uneven across the multi-zone footprint. Areas corresponding to the stronger radar returns near 8:13 PM CDT and 8:25 PM CDT should be prioritized for field checks.
