The storm developed in the late evening and produced a concentrated hail swath through the White River metro. The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning at 11:00 PM CDT for 1-inch hail based on dual-polarization radar detections. Radar-derived hail algorithms tracked a focused corridor of strong returns through the town. The event concluded the same night with no ongoing activity.
Radar-detected hail approached 2 inches in diameter in the White River area.
